VO2 Max Testing
Train smarter. Know your engine.
VO2 testing is one of the most effective ways to understand your aerobic fitness and how your body responds to exercise.
At Experience Momentum, this assessment gives you personalized insight into your cardiovascular fitness, endurance capacity, training zones, and overall exercise efficiency—so you can stop guessing and start training with more clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Who is VO2 testing for?
Someone getting back into exercise who wants to establish a meaningful baseline and better understand the intensity at which to train.
An active person wanting to understand whether their current workouts are actually developing their aerobic system.
An endurance athlete wanting to dial in training zones, thresholds, pacing, and areas where additional training may make a difference.
Someone interested in healthspan and longevity who wants to establish and track an objective marker of cardiorespiratory fitness over time.
Someone who feels stuck and needs help moving beyond generic formulas and understand how their own body responds to different intensities.
It’s not about being an elite athlete. It’s about understanding your engine.
Whether you’re chasing a race goal or trying to stay strong as you age, VO2 Max testing gives you real, useful, personalized data that can help you understand where you are today and what to do next.

FAQs

During the test, you’ll complete a guided progressive workout while wearing a mask that measures how your body uses oxygen as intensity increases. That information helps us identify key markers like your VO₂ max and ventilatory thresholds, which tell us more about your current fitness, how your body handles effort, and where your best training opportunities may be.
-
Plan for 45 minutes to an hour. Your test will take about 10 minutes for talking through the process, 15 minutes to adequately warm up, and 25 minutes for the actual test.
-
You’ll learn more about your aerobic fitness, cardiovascular capacity, and personalized training zones. You’ll receive your VT1, VT2, individualized training zones, and a written report. In practical terms, this test will help you better understand how hard you should be working and how to train with more purpose. Less mystery, more direction.
